I have been working on this game with my team for the past 3 months as a school project. However, since my senior year of High School is coming to an end, I will no longer be developing the game with them. It will be just me working on this game from here on out.

Data Breach was originally a part of the Bad Ideas Game Jam, created and hosted by JonnyRaZeR. However, we did not meet the deadline, so, my team and I came together and decided we were going to continue developing the game together and expand upon the ideas we already had.

The game will release publicly in three stages. The first stage, releasing today, is Demo 1. Demo 1 will include the first 3 levels of the game in a linear fashion. While things may be in complete or subject to change, I tried my best to make sure everything felt nice to play. Demo 1 will release on GameJolt and Itch.

Demo 2 will release some time in the next month or two. Demo 2 will include the first 6 levels of the game with 2 paths you can choose to take. Level 6 will be the halfway point of the game. Demo 2 will release as a free demo on Steam that will also continue to stay up after full release.

After Demo 2, comes the full release. This will likely happen around the end of Summer, probably in late August or early September. This will be a paid release on Steam with a price likely around $4-5 USD. This is subject to change but likely won't.

===================Description===================

Taking inspiration from games such as Hallow Knight, Super Mario Brothers Wonder, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, and Terraria, Data Breach is best described as a 2D platformer with the combat and movement of a platform fighter.

The world of Vandros may seem normal at first, however, as you travel along your journey, you will notice that something is spreading beneath the surface, and it will not hide itself for much longer. Your goal is to stop this corruption before it destroys not just the land of Vandros, but the entire machine it's on.
